A few months ago I first became aware of Exit 59 with their collaboration with Johnny Budz on the track Explanations. With an unusual and hard-to-describe arrangement and production work, the song stood-out and was one I added to rotation over at iDanceRadio.fm, as well as spun in my sets.
Exit 59, the duo of producer Pawel Bartoszek and vocalist Dani Vasile, are back with a new track, Rollercoaster. Pawel sent the extended mix to me this weekend, hot off the presses, and I think they’ve done it again.
While Roller Coaster has a more mainstream sound than Explanations, it’s nonetheless a nice track with a sweet groove. I also really like the gritty, electro-ish element that’s running throughout. I don’t know for certain who wrote the track, but I particularly like the lyrical basis for it (basically, “being with you is like a roller coaster”) which I think that many of us can relate to at one point or another in our lives.
You can hear it on their MySpace page. See what you think.
