Carol Hahn can stop the rain; and time

Songstress Carol Hahn is someone I’ve been admiring for awhile now. She’s had at least a couple of great dance tracks out in the past year or two, including Reach Out, which I played quite frequently.
Just in the past couple of weeks, Carol let me know she’s got a new release, I Can Stop the Rain. It’s a powerful song with Carol’s usual great vocals, complemented by remixes from industry powerhouses including Lenny B., Klubjumpers, and the amazing Twisted Dee.
She not only stopped the rain, but stopped time for a moment as well when I first played the track; I really like it. Carol’s gutsy, smoky voice (in terms of sound character, not cigarette use) is unique and distinctive in a sea of female dance vocals that often tend to sound way too much alike.
I don’t know much about Carol (note to Carol: you need a fuller bio on your web site), but I do know she had a number of songs back in the 80s (some of which you can listen to if you do a YouTube search, and I remember some of them once I heard them). That being the case, maybe that vocal quality comes from experience and maturity. Whatever the case, I’m a fan.
You can listen to sample of the song on her web site (link above), then pick ‘em up via all the usual digital music outlets.
